Hello authors! We are thrilled that you have found Kiss and Tale Romance Bookshop and are interested in holding an event with us.
We are in the process of developing our policies and event guidelines so that we are best able to host you and give our customers/your readers an experience they will treasure. As a new store we are working to accommodate the requests we have received as quickly as possible, however, as you can imagine we have a lot to sort through and instead of blindly rushing forward we are taking our time to develop an environment that is true to our brand, values and mission.
What we are working on:
Multi-author events. Hosting an afternoon where three to four authors come to the store for a signing event bringing in a broader audience and offering new connections to potential readers that otherwise would not have the opportunity to meet you or purchase your book(s).
Book release parties. We have found that readers are more engaged and enthusiastic around new books releases. We are interested in hosting intimate Q&A's, signings and an elevated evening for authors to introduce their newest titles. These events would need to be held within a week or two of a book's release date.
An afternoon/evening casual signing. This would take place during store hours and you would be responsible for bringing signage, books and any swag that accompanies your books. All sales would process under our consignment agreement for that day only.
As we do not have a formal event request form available at this time we ask that if you have a proposal for an event at our store you contact us at info@kissandtalebookshop.com with your pitch. We will reach out when/if your event is a good fit for our store. In the meantime we will work towards streamlining the whole process and making it easier for both parties.
